Paula Jessen Eisenberg is a contemporary fine artist in Oakland, California. Her work focuses on representational landscapes, florals and figurative subjects, characterized by intensified color, strong composition and expressive interpretation.

Eisenberg’s formal art training began with daily studio art classes in high school. Although she earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from University of California, Santa Barbara, Eisenberg continued to sketch and draw independently. In mid-life, she returned to formal art training at Oakland’s Studio One Art Center, where she pursued sustained study in drawing, figure drawing, watercolor and pastel. Instructor Mira White played an instrumental role in refining her technical foundation and expanding her use of multiple mediums.

Eisenberg began to identify herself fully as an artist after illustrating her first children's books The Egg Lady and Mrs. Eggy’s Big Excitement (watercolor) in 2017. In 2023, she exhibited two acrylic paintings: Serpentine Prairie and White Camellias in Studio One Art Center’s juried show New Beginnings. In 2025, she was honored to exhibit the pastel figure drawing The Gambler at the San Francisco Women Artists Gallery as part of the juried Go Figurative exhibition.

Eisenberg currently works primarily in pastel and acrylic, creating relaxed representational work distinguished by bold color and emotional resonance.
